It is stated best in the article “ Storyboard your way to success” by James Higgins , “The organization storyboard answers three questions: What task needs to be done? When do they need to begin? Who will  do them?” My storyboard answers  all of  these questions, from the pre-planned pictures I need to take (which I plan on doing this weekend) to the graphic design features I  plan on beginning in photoshop. This board is a prefect map of my  future plans  for my  magazine, the only  unfinished portion of my magazine planning is the fact that my storyboard is uncolored. Preliminary Layout

Masthead    The Little Traveler   Main Image   A picture of my niece and nephew in front of pretty scenery (maybe the beach or a fun tree), I think it would look more professional to not have their faces features so I might have their backs turned or have the  image be a  silhouette .    Selling Line   “the  Florida  edition” “things to do in the sunshine state for kids  and  adults”   Typography/Font    Cursive for the title, but big, all capital, block letters for the article and sub-article titles   Feature Article/Title/   Content/Image(s)   “Florida Family Favorites”   Have a broad- ish  paragraph or two about how travelling with children is still possible and can be fun, even though it is believed and advertised that it isn’t   Then move to the back of the page which shows 4 images of places to travel in  Florida  with children (I haven’t decided the ...

CATEGORY   DETAILS   Film OR Magazine   Magazine   Genre   The South/ Life in the South   Target Audience (Be specific)   People living in the south. More specifically families and mothers in the south. People that enjoy cooking and home décor (which are normally mothers).  People that live more traditionally (families on a plot of land) or people that like that lifestyle are also a target.   What is your concept? (Be thorough & specific. Review the links on Blackboard)   A magazine on southern living formatted  like a photography portfolio/a collage. I want to focus on the idea of graphic design in this magazine because that is my strong suit.  I want to experi ment  with font ,  color ,  and artistic design to visually appeal to readers before they even read the article.  I’m experimenting with the idea of doing a magazine that has a holiday/season-based cover and article because southern magazines ten...
