Creative Critical Reflection

Here is my creative critical reflection, I used a mix of different approaches to showcase my reflection. My Prezi features three podcast-style videos at the end to answer question four. My personal computer would not allow me to record audio with no video so while there is a black screen for the videos, it is meant to act like an audio as opposed to a video. I hope you enjoy it! Post Production 2- "Feature Article"

I slightly edited my feature article to make it fit the style of my magazine more. In photoshop I edited a sunset picture I had taken to be a  full-page  size and I pas ted that into my feature article and dimmed  it,  so it was subtle, it makes my feature article look more put together than just the simple white background.  I also changed the picture I had under the title of my feature article, “Florida Family Favorites”, and made it a dark, o range tinted, picture of beach waves at sunset with white words on top. I feel this draws more attention to the title of my article and it contrasts nicely with the light sunset background on the actual article.  I added the dimmed sunset picture to t he second page of my article   as well and slightly changed the placing of the picture captions. Overall, I feel these slight changes really add to the aesthetics of my feature article and make it more  visually appealing to the audience. ...

Post Production 1- "Content Page"

After reflecting on my peer  review,  I’ve decided to edit my content page by adding a sky picture to the background and using black and white lettering. I  left the words on my content page the  same,  but my new content page looks very different than the original. I took my cover picture and, using the clone tool in photoshop, flipped it to reflect the sunset sky and c reate a picture large enough to fill the whole page. I feel this new content page flows very well with the cover page because the top of the cover page is seamless with the top of the content and the  bottom of the pages are different. I changed the font size and color on  my content page as well and I feel it’s more reflective of the style I want for my magazine. In addition to changing the color and background for my content page, I also  added page numbers.  The format of my content page is still  similar to  the original, but the overall visu...

Peer Review

My presentation of my magazine went very well, I was a little nervous before presenting but it ended up going very smoothly a nd I was very happy with the feedback I received. My peers complimented my magazine,  specifically  my p ictures, article  size and format, and my cover page. There were a few minor aspects of my magazine that were pointed out  that my peers think I could change to enhance my magazine. It was suggested that I add page numbers onto my content page, add the month and year onto my cover page , make some of the font on my cover page smaller, and change the format of my content page. I was  really happy  with  the comments my peers made because they were all either compliments or very helpful for my magazine overall. Ms. Gartland suggested adding so mething about things for adults to do as well in my feature article, but other than that and a few other cosmetic changes she said she liked my magazine overall....
